A high speed automatically lubricated double chainstitch (chainlock) machine availabe as a single, double or triple needle machine in different needle gauges and needle configurations (in the case of the three needle machines). Employing a link type feeding mechanism in conjunction with a needle bar thread take up and looper (s) the machine is capable of producing 1, 2 or 3 rows of double chainstitch which is suitable for lap seaming and similar construction on a wide variety of products and as a decorative addition to such articles as innerwear, home fashions, jeans and soft leather goods.
