These extra heavy duty long arm compound feed machines are available in single or double needle subclasses with or without puller feed. They incorporate reverse feeding and an extra large vertical hook (or hooks) with a long stitch length (up to 2 1/2 stitches to the inch). A safety clutch to prevent hook damage is standard. An optional needle positioning motor is available and can be used to incorporate air foot lifting and air back tacking for added efficiency. They are used in the sewing of tents, awnings, safety slings, truck covers, safety belts and similar articles.
