A link take up and large rotating hook are incorporated to form a lockstitch machine capable of sewing on medium heavy materials.  Its top and bottom feed mechanism works in conjunction with the alternating lift mechanism of the foot to enable sewing on such material as leather, plastics, synthetic leather, canvas and similar materials. Automatic lubrication ensures a long service life.
